R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Mazbeen Ali has distinguished herself in her |
|
|
responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Chris Turner during the 89th Legislative Session; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Ali has provided vital |
|
|
assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; among |
|
|
other essential functions, she has supported the representative's |
|
|
work on the Ways and Means Committee, created social media content, |
|
|
tracked a wide variety of public policy issues, met with |
|
|
stakeholders, and provided vote recommendations; in addition to |
|
|
gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, she has |
|
|
learned more about the legislative process and the issues facing |
|
|
citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Ali is a sophomore at Texas A&M University, |
|
|
where she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance and has been |
|
|
involved in the Aggie Financial Women's Association and the |
|
|
Strategic Philanthropy Class program; she also has volunteered at |
|
|
both the Austin and Houston locations of the Ismaili Community |
|
|
Center and Jamatkhana; in fall 2025, she intends to transfer to The |
|
|
University of Texas at Austin; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mazbeen Ali has performed her duties as a |
|
|
legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Mazbeen Ali for her service as a |
|
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner |
|
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all |
|
|
her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Ali as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
