R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Lauren Wilson has ably served her fellow Texans as a |
|
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Charles |
|
|
Cunningham during the 89th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Wilson has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of tasks, such as |
|
|
conducting legislative research, corresponding with constituents, |
|
|
and taking meetings; in addition to gaining valuable experience in |
|
|
the field of public service, she has learned more about the |
|
|
legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star |
|
|
State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Timothy and Heather Wilson, |
|
|
Ms. Wilson is a junior at The University of Texas at Austin, where |
|
|
she is majoring in government with a minor in business and public |
|
|
policy; she has further distinguished herself by serving as a Clark |
|
|
Scholar with the UT Austin Center of Australian and New Zealand |
|
|
Studies and by earning placement on the dean's list multiple times; |
|
|
moreover, she has been actively involved in a number of |
|
|
philanthropic organizations, among them Keep Austin Beautiful and |
|
|
the Live Green in Plano Volunteer Program; after graduation, she |
|
|
plans to attend law school and specialize in environmental and |
|
|
natural resource law; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|
|
duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is |
|
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Lauren Wilson for her service as a |
|
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Charles |
|
|
Cunningham and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Wilson as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
