R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Cullen Watkins has distinguished himself in his |
|
|
responsibilities as a legislative intern in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Charles Cunningham during the 89th Legislative |
|
|
Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff through the University of |
|
|
Houston Hobby Fellows internship program, Mr. Watkins has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|
|
in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|
|
service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Chad and Wendy Watkins, Mr. Watkins is |
|
|
currently a junior at UH, where he is working toward a bachelor's |
|
|
degree in public policy with a minor in entrepreneurship; he is |
|
|
actively involved in his campus community as a member of the Young |
|
|
Conservatives of Texas as well as Pi Alpha Alpha, the national honor |
|
|
society for public affairs and administration; previously, he |
|
|
interned with the Houston Mayor's Office of Public Safety and |
|
|
Homeland Security; following his graduation, he plans to obtain an |
|
|
MBA while pursuing a career in government and business; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Cullen Watkins has performed his duties as a |
|
|
legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Cullen Watkins for his service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Charles |
|
|
Cunningham and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Watkins as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
