R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sydney Taylor has distinguished herself in her |
|
|
responsibilities as a legislative intern in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Charles Cunningham during the 89th Legislative |
|
|
Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Taylor has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|
|
in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|
|
service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Jeff and Tammy Taylor, Ms. Taylor |
|
|
recently graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, where |
|
|
she earned a bachelor's degree in government with a minor in |
|
|
history; she was actively involved in the Phi Delta Phi pre-law |
|
|
society and Delta Delta Delta sorority; she served on the executive |
|
|
board in Tri Delta and was awarded the Theta Zeta Centennial |
|
|
Scholarship for her leadership and community service; in the fall, |
|
|
she plans to attend the Southern Methodist University Dedman School |
|
|
of Law and later pursue a career in civil litigation in Texas; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sydney Taylor has performed her duties as a |
|
|
legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Sydney Taylor for her service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Charles |
|
|
Cunningham and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Taylor as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
