R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Regan House has distinguished herself in her |
|
responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of State |
|
Representative Alma Allen during the 89th Legislative Session; and |
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff through the Texas |
|
Legislative Internship Program, Ms. House has provided vital |
|
assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, which |
|
have included analyzing and summarizing bills, condensing |
|
committee hearing notes, and meeting with stakeholders and advocacy |
|
groups; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of |
|
public service, she has learned more about the legislative process |
|
and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. House is a sophomore at The University of Texas |
|
at Austin, where she is working toward her bachelor's degree in |
|
government in the Plan II Honors Program; active in her campus |
|
community, she is a member of the Liberal Arts Council, the Culture |
|
Shock committee, and the Alpha Lambda Delta honor society; she has |
|
previously interned in the office of U.S. Congressman Steny Hoyer |
|
and participated in the City of Houston TEEN COURT program and |
|
Mayor's Youth Council; and |
|
WHEREAS, Regan House has performed her duties as a |
|
legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Regan House for her service as a |
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Alma Allen |
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all |
|
her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. House as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
