R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Carter Bentsen of Houston has distinguished himself |
|
|
in his responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Alma Allen during the 89th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Bentsen has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|
|
such as analyzing bills, attending committee hearings, and meeting |
|
|
with constituents, lobbyists, and advocacy groups; in addition to |
|
|
gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, he has |
|
|
learned more about the legislative process and the issues facing |
|
|
citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Bentsen is a graduate of Strake Jesuit College |
|
|
Preparatory in Houston and The University of Texas at Austin, where |
|
|
he earned a bachelor's degree in government; a talented athlete, he |
|
|
played varsity rugby and football in high school and served as a |
|
|
starting player as well as vice president, president, and team |
|
|
captain of the UT Men's Rugby Club; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Carter Bentsen has performed his duties as a |
|
|
legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Carter Bentsen for his service as a |
|
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Alma Allen |
|
|
and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all |
|
|
his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Bentsen as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
