R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Edward Berning has distinguished himself in his
  responsibilities as a legislative assistant in the office of State
  Representative Marc LaHood during the 89th Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Berning has provided
  vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
  including helping with constituent services and with bill
  preparation and analysis; in addition to gaining valuable
  experience in the field of public service, he has learned more about
  the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone
  Star State; and
         WHEREAS, A native of California, Mr. Berning graduated from
  Bridgeland High School in Cypress; he went on to attend the
  University of Houston, where he was a member of the Pre-Law Society
  and Young Conservatives of Texas and earned a bachelor's degree in
  political science with a minor in marketing; through the Hobby
  School of Public Affairs' Leland Fellows program, he interned in
  U.S. Senator Ted Cruz's office in 2024; he has a keen interest in
  contract and constitutional law and he plans to pursue a juris
  doctor degree; and
         WHEREAS, Edward Berning has performed his duties as a
  legislative assistant with skill and dedication, and he is indeed
  deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Edward Berning for his service as a
  legislative assistant in the office of State Representative Marc
  LaHood and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success
  in all his endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Berning as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
