R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Edward Berning has distinguished himself in his |
|
|
responsibilities as a legislative assistant in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Marc LaHood during the 89th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Berning has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|
|
including helping with constituent services and with bill |
|
|
preparation and analysis; in addition to gaining valuable |
|
|
experience in the field of public service, he has learned more about |
|
|
the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone |
|
|
Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A native of California, Mr. Berning graduated from |
|
|
Bridgeland High School in Cypress; he went on to attend the |
|
|
University of Houston, where he was a member of the Pre-Law Society |
|
|
and Young Conservatives of Texas and earned a bachelor's degree in |
|
|
political science with a minor in marketing; through the Hobby |
|
|
School of Public Affairs' Leland Fellows program, he interned in |
|
|
U.S. Senator Ted Cruz's office in 2024; he has a keen interest in |
|
|
contract and constitutional law and he plans to pursue a juris |
|
|
doctor degree; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Edward Berning has performed his duties as a |
|
|
legislative assistant with skill and dedication, and he is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Edward Berning for his service as a |
|
|
legislative assistant in the office of State Representative Marc |
|
|
LaHood and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Berning as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
