R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends were deeply saddened by the |
|
|
passing of Doyle Oliver of Watauga on May 13, 2023, at the age of 81; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Elbert and Katie Oliver, Doyle Oliver was |
|
|
born in Cross Plains on October 28, 1941; he enjoyed a career as a |
|
|
Texas game warden, and in retirement, he actively volunteered at |
|
|
Eastminster Presbyterian Church; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A devoted father and grandfather, Mr. Oliver |
|
|
supported his family in all of their endeavors, and he was always |
|
|
ready to listen or to offer words of wisdom; a skilled cook, he took |
|
|
pleasure preparing meals for his loved ones; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Although Doyle Oliver is greatly missed, memories of |
|
|
his strength, kindness, and generosity remain to comfort and |
|
|
inspire those he leaves behind; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Doyle Oliver and |
|
|
extend sincere condolences to all who mourn his passing; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Doyle |
|
|
Oliver. |
