R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The untimely passing of Aaron Scott Rendon on
  April 10, 2025, at the age of 40, brought an immeasurable loss to
  his family and friends; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Rose Ann Salinas Rendon and Rudy Rendon,
  Scott Rendon was born on June 16, 1984; he grew up with the
  companionship of three older siblings, Roxanne, Rudy, and Miriam;
  his father instilled in him a love of fishing, as well as patience,
  perseverance, and respect for nature, and as his mother taught him
  cooking and baking, he developed an adventurous palate and
  introduced her to new flavors; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Rendon married the love of his life, the former
  Elizabeth Mendoza, on July 21, 2018; dedicated to his family, he was
  the father of two treasured sons, John Ryan and Augustine; he also
  cherished his stepson, Matthew, and he took immense pride in his
  grandchildren, Carlos, Dominic, and Aubree; in addition, he was
  protective of his nieces and nephews, and he delighted in spending
  time with his aunts, uncles, in-laws, and other relatives;
  thoughtful and generous, he brought laughter and food to every
  gathering; he was also loyal to his numerous longtime friends; and
         WHEREAS, A man of deep faith, Mr. Rendon was a valued member
  of Radical Church; he was committed to serving the congregation,
  and he gladdened the hearts of all with his warm and joyful nature;
  at every opportunity, he engaged in outreach to people from all
  walks of life; and
         WHEREAS, Although Scott Rendon is greatly missed by those he
  leaves behind, they will forever cherish their memories of his
  wisdom, humor, integrity, and dedication to his family and his
  faith; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Aaron Scott Rendon and
  extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his
  wife, Elizabeth Mendoza Rendon; to his sons, John Ryan Rendon and
  Augustine Rendon; to his stepson, Matthew Ray Mendoza Hernandez; to
  his grandchildren, Carlos Vincent Tapia, Dominic Aaron Tapia, and
  Aubree Gianna Hernandez; to his parents, Rose Ann Salinas Rendon
  and Rudy Rendon; to his siblings, Roxanne Torrez and her husband,
  Ernest, Rudy Rendon Jr. and his wife, Tracy, and Miriam Duarte and
  her husband, Juan; and to his many other relatives and friends; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Scott
  Rendon.
