R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Robert Hoxworth of First National Bank Texas in
  Killeen was inducted into the Texas Bankers Hall of Fame at a
  ceremony in Huntsville on May 1, 2025; and
         WHEREAS, Established by the Smith-Hutson Endowed Chair of
  Banking at Sam Houston State University, the Texas Bankers Hall of
  Fame recognizes outstanding bankers who have worked to improve
  their industry, their communities, and their state; and
         WHEREAS, Bobby Hoxworth began his more than 40-year career
  with First National Bank Texas in Killeen in 1981, starting out as a
  student worker in the mail room; he went on to hold a range of
  positions with the institution before being named to his current
  role of president and chief executive officer in 2008; and
         WHEREAS, A leader in his profession and his community, Mr.
  Hoxworth has served as chair of both the Texas Bankers Association
  and the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce executive board; he has
  further given of his time and expertise to the Killeen Economic
  Development Corporation, the Fort Hood Region Economic Development
  Foundation, and the Killeen Industrial Foundation; moreover, while
  serving on the Harker Heights City Council, he was named mayor pro
  tempore and appointed to the Central Texas Council of Governments
  Board of Directors; he currently sits on the Federal Reserve Bank of
  Dallas Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council, and he
  is a member of the Central Texas chapter of the Association of the
  United States Army, the board of the Heart of Texas Defense
  Alliance, and the Killeen Heights Rotary Club; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Hoxworth holds an associate's degree in applied
  science from Central Texas College, a bachelor's degree in applied
  science from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, and a master of
  business administration degree from Baylor University; in
  recognition of his myriad accomplishments, he has received
  distinguished alumni awards from the Killeen Independent School
  District, the Central Texas College Foundation, and the UMHB Alumni
  Association; and
         WHEREAS, Bobby Hoxworth's dedication, integrity, and
  commitment to excellence have greatly benefited his profession and
  his fellow citizens, and he may indeed take pride in this special
  recognition of his many contributions to banking in the Lone Star
  State; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Robert Hoxworth on his induction
  into the Texas Bankers Hall of Fame and extend to him sincere best
  wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Hoxworth as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
