R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Desirae Garcia has distinguished herself in her
  responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of State
  Representative Jessica González and as director of the Texas House
  LGBTQ Caucus during the 89th Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Garcia began her work with the Texas House of
  Representatives as a policy analyst in the office of State
  Representative Mary E. González for the 88th Legislative Session,
  and during both sessions, she has provided vital assistance in
  handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; as caucus director,
  she has helped Representative Jessica González, the current caucus
  chair, and Representative Mary E. González, a former chair, execute
  their legislative strategy, and she has supported all caucus
  members and officers in advancing pro-LGBTQIA+ bills; she has also
  managed the caucus internship program and its communications and
  social media; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Garcia holds an associate's degree from
  Northeast Lakeview College and a bachelor's degree in history from
  Tarleton State University; and
         WHEREAS, Desirae Garcia has performed her duties as a
  legislative aide and caucus director with skill and dedication, and
  she is indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Desirae Garcia for her service as a
  legislative aide in the office of State Representative Jessica
  González and as director of the Texas House LGBTQ Caucus and extend
  to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her
  endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Garcia as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
