R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Charles Birk Wilkison has ably served his fellow |
|
|
Texans as chief of staff in the office of State Representative |
|
|
Jessica González during the 89th Legislature; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since becoming a legislative employee, Birk |
|
|
Wilkison has contributed to the workings of state government |
|
|
firsthand; handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, he has |
|
|
helped to shape and carry forth the representative's legislative |
|
|
agenda in addition to providing vital leadership and ensuring the |
|
|
efficient operation of the office; he previously served as |
|
|
Representative González's chief of staff during the 87th |
|
|
Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Wilkison holds a bachelor's degree in political |
|
|
science and public administration from The University of Texas at |
|
|
San Antonio; he has assisted with a number of political campaigns, |
|
|
and he has also served as a deputy director of the Texas Democratic |
|
|
Party and as a campaign director for the Y Strategy political |
|
|
consulting firm; a dedicated member of the Democratic Party, he |
|
|
frequently lends his time and expertise to other legislative |
|
|
offices; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee has performed his |
|
|
duties as chief of staff with skill and dedication, and he is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Charles Birk Wilkison for his service as |
|
|
chief of staff in the office of State Representative Jessica |
|
|
González and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Wilkison as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
