R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Madison Alvarez has ably served her fellow Texans as |
|
|
a policy advisor in the office of State Representative Trey |
|
|
Martinez Fischer during the 89th Legislature; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Alvarez has played an |
|
|
instrumental role in numerous projects, with a focus on the |
|
|
Culture, Recreation, and Tourism Committee as well as the Ways and |
|
|
Means Committee; her policy recommendations have been invaluable in |
|
|
helping shape Representative Martinez Fischer's legislative |
|
|
agenda, and she has earned the respect and appreciation of her |
|
|
colleagues for her expertise, kindness, and patience; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Alvarez has brought to her role a wealth of |
|
|
experience in public service and advocacy; she previously served as |
|
|
a Barbara Harlow intern at the Rapoport Center for Human Rights and |
|
|
Social Justice, and she also held internships with the City of |
|
|
Austin and Texas Book Festival; during the 88th Legislature, she |
|
|
served as a legislative aide in the office of State Representative |
|
|
Nicole Collier; she is a 2025 graduate of The University of Texas at |
|
|
Austin, where she earned a bachelor's degree in advertising with a |
|
|
minor in business and public policy and a certificate in human |
|
|
rights and social justice; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Madison Alvarez has performed her duties as a policy |
|
|
advisor with skill and dedication, and she is indeed deserving of |
|
|
special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Madison Alvarez for her service as a |
|
|
policy advisor in the office of State Representative Trey Martinez |
|
|
Fischer and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Alvarez as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
