R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Ali S. Zaidi distinguished himself in his
  responsibilities as chief strategist of the House Democratic Caucus
  during the 88th Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, Serving under the session's caucus chair, State
  Representative Trey Martinez Fischer, Mr. Zaidi earned the respect
  and admiration of his colleagues for his advocacy and for his
  steadfast commitment to public education; in addition, his
  expertise was instrumental in helping House members understand
  bills and develop strategic responses; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Zaidi brought to his role a wealth of experience
  in politics; as a high school student, he was involved in several
  campaigns in Pearland and Fort Bend County, and in 2018, he co-led
  the digital operation for Texas lieutenant governor candidate Mike
  Collier; he went on to work in the office of Representative Martinez
  Fischer as communications and digital director for two years; in
  2021, he returned to the Mike Collier campaign, this time as
  campaign manager; today, he serves as a consultant for
  Representative Martinez Fischer; he holds a bachelor's degree in
  government and Middle Eastern studies from The University of Texas
  at Austin, and he plans to attend Harvard Law School in the fall;
  and
         WHEREAS, The House Democratic Caucus benefited immensely
  from Ali Zaidi's leadership, and he may indeed reflect with pride on
  all that he has accomplished; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Ali S. Zaidi for his service as chief
  strategist of the House Democratic Caucus during the 88th
  Legislature and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Zaidi as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
