R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Riley Church has ably served her fellow Texans as
  communications director in the office of State Representative Trey
  Martinez Fischer during the 89th Legislature; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Church's resourcefulness and initiative have
  earned the appreciation of her colleagues, and her contributions to
  carrying forth Representative Martinez Fischer's legislative
  agenda have helped address issues facing citizens across the Lone
  Star State; and
         WHEREAS, The newest member of Representative Martinez
  Fischer's staff, Ms. Church brings to her position a wealth of
  experience in communications and research; she held internships at
  Anomaly Entertainment in New York City, Austin PBS, the Briscoe
  Center for American History, and the Office of Travis County Judge
  Andy Brown, and in 2024, she served as a digital associate for the
  Harris-Walz campaign in Maine; she later returned to Judge Brown's
  office as a communications associate and executive assistant, and
  she has served as a digital contractor for the Mexican American
  Legislative Caucus; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Church has further distinguished herself as a
  volunteer coordinator for the Open Door Ministry at University
  United Methodist Church, which provides resources to people
  experiencing homelessness; she holds bachelor's degrees in Plan II
  Honors and radio, television, and film from The University of Texas
  at Austin; her work has been featured in more than 50 film festivals
  around the world, and she has received international grand prizes
  for her short documentary DEBATABLE; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee has performed her
  duties as communications director with skill and dedication, and
  she is indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Riley Church for her service as
  communications director in the office of State Representative Trey
  Martinez Fischer and extend to her sincere best wishes for
  continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Church as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
