R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Scott Poole has distinguished himself in his |
|
|
responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Trey Martinez Fischer during the 89th Legislative |
|
|
Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Poole has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|
|
including analyzing bills, assisting senior staff, conducting |
|
|
policy research, and providing updates on water, energy, and |
|
|
property tax issues; in addition to gaining valuable experience in |
|
|
the field of public service, he has learned more about the |
|
|
legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star |
|
|
State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Poole is a 2025 graduate of The University of |
|
|
Texas at Austin, where he majored in government and history; during |
|
|
his time at UT, he was named to the Dean's Honor List and was |
|
|
recognized as a Phi Beta Kappa Distinguished College Scholar and a |
|
|
Normandy Scholar; in addition to his academic achievements, he has |
|
|
served as president and civic engagement alliance chair of TX Votes |
|
|
and as a research assistant for UT law professor Richard Albert, and |
|
|
he completed internships with the Annette Strauss Institute for |
|
|
Civic Life as well as campaigns for congressional and statewide |
|
|
offices; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Scott Poole has performed his duties as a |
|
|
legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Scott Poole for his service as a |
|
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Trey |
|
|
Martinez Fischer and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Poole as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
