R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Maxie Johnson was elected as the District 4 |
|
|
representative on the Dallas City Council on May 3, 2025; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In carrying out the responsibilities of his office, |
|
|
Mr. Johnson will be joining with the other members of the city |
|
|
council to address urgent issues facing the community, and his work |
|
|
will have a lasting influence on the daily lives of his fellow |
|
|
citizens; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The effective operation of municipal government |
|
|
depends on the able and dedicated efforts of our public servants, |
|
|
and Maxie Johnson will draw on his insight and experience as he |
|
|
takes on this challenging new role; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Maxie Johnson on his election to |
|
|
the Dallas City Council and extend to him sincere best wishes for a |
|
|
successful term in office; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Johnson as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
