R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Gay Donnell Willis was reelected as the District 13 |
|
|
representative on the Dallas City Council on May 3, 2025; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since first taking office in 2021, Ms. Willis has |
|
|
joined with other members of the city council to address urgent |
|
|
issues facing the community, and her work has had a lasting |
|
|
influence on the daily lives of her fellow citizens; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The effective operation of municipal government |
|
|
depends on the able and dedicated efforts of our public servants, |
|
|
and Gay Donnell Willis may indeed take pride in her outstanding |
|
|
record of achievement as she continues to work on behalf of her |
|
|
constituents; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Gay Donnell Willis on her |
|
|
reelection to the Dallas City Council and extend to her sincere best |
|
|
wishes for another successful term in office; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Willis as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
