R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Heritage Boot Company in Austin is marking the 20th |
|
|
anniversary of its founding in 2025, and this occasion provides a |
|
|
fitting opportunity to recognize the history and accomplishments of |
|
|
this respected local enterprise; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Established by Jerry Ryan and his wife, Patti, in |
|
|
2005, this iconic South Congress Avenue shop sells small-batch, |
|
|
vintage-inspired cowboy boots handmade in a family-owned factory in |
|
|
Mexico; through the years, the store has gained a loyal following |
|
|
from around the world, becoming especially popular with collectors, |
|
|
actors, and musicians; two longtime employees, Alie Twigger and |
|
|
Kimber Breaux, along with Mrs. Twigger's husband, Steven, purchased |
|
|
Heritage Boot during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the new owners have |
|
|
worked tirelessly to uphold the company's reputation for excellence |
|
|
ever since; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Local businesses play a vital role in the culture |
|
|
and economy of the Lone Star State, and it is indeed a pleasure to |
|
|
honor Heritage Boot Company for the high regard it has enjoyed in |
|
|
the Austin community and beyond over the past 20 years; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commemorate the 20th anniversary of Heritage |
|
|
Boot Company and extend to all those associated with the business |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the company as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
