R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Craddick, the longest-serving member in the |
|
|
history of the Texas Legislature, and Mrs. Craddick have championed |
|
|
policies that enhance educational opportunities for aspiring |
|
|
physician assistants and that strengthen the profession overall; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Recognizing the growing need for highly trained |
|
|
medical professionals, Mr. Craddick played a pivotal role in the |
|
|
passage of legislation that expands access to health care and in |
|
|
securing state funding to expand the Physician Assistant Studies |
|
|
Program at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School |
|
|
of Health Professions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In recognition of Mr. and Mrs. Craddick's enduring |
|
|
commitment to health care education and the physician assistant |
|
|
profession, Texas Tech Health Sciences Center renamed the program |
|
|
the Nadine and Tom Craddick Physician Assistant Studies Program in |
|
|
October 2024; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend State Representative Tom Craddick and |
|
|
Nadine Craddick for their contributions to the physician assistant |
|
|
profession and health care education in Texas; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Craddick as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
