R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Kendall Meachum has distinguished herself in her |
|
|
responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Rafael Anchía during the 89th Legislative Session; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Meachum has provided |
|
|
vital support in all policy areas, and she has handled a wide |
|
|
variety of challenging tasks; in addition to gaining valuable |
|
|
experience in the field of public service, she has learned more |
|
|
about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the |
|
|
Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Meachum is a student at The University of Texas |
|
|
at Austin, where she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in government |
|
|
and Plan II Honors; active in her campus community, she is a member |
|
|
of Model United Nations and the Texas Pre-Law Honor Society and |
|
|
serves as advocacy committee director for Hook the Vote; she also |
|
|
writes stories for The Daily Texan as a news reporter; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Kendall Meachum has performed her duties as a |
|
|
legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Kendall Meachum for her service as a |
|
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Rafael |
|
|
Anchía and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Meachum as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
