R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The West Texas Legislative Summit celebrated its
  20th anniversary in 2024; and
         WHEREAS, Hosted by the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce, the
  summit was established in 2004 as a local policy forum; it has grown
  into one of the state's premier legislative events, with an annual
  attendance in excess of 500; in organizing the event, the chamber
  partners with honorary co-hosts representing local, state, and
  federal government; and
         WHEREAS, The conference draws leaders from government,
  business, and major industries to explore timely issues and to
  develop collaborative solutions for challenges confronting the
  region; WTLS has welcomed members of the Texas Legislature and the
  U.S. Congress, cabinet-level officials, and executives from major
  public and private institutions; and
         WHEREAS, Designed to promote meaningful dialogue and
  bipartisan collaboration, the event features keynote addresses,
  expert panel discussions, breakout sessions, and networking
  opportunities; it drives strategic progress for the region by
  bringing together diverse perspectives and developing productive
  relationships; over the years, WTLS participants have considered a
  broad array of topics, including water, energy, agriculture,
  education, infrastructure, health care, and workforce development;
  and
         WHEREAS, Since its inception, the West Texas Legislative
  Summit has served as a model for advocacy and leadership while
  raising the profile of the Concho Valley, and its ongoing success is
  a testament to the region's commitment to civic engagement and
  cooperative problem-solving; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby commemorate the 20th anniversary of the
  West Texas Legislative Summit and commend the San Angelo Chamber of
  Commerce for hosting this important event; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce as an expression of
  high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
