R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The eighth annual Harvest Christian Academy BBQ Cook |
|
|
Off is taking place in Edinburg on September 26 and 27, 2025; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sanctioned by the Champions Barbecue Alliance as one |
|
|
of the organization's state championship cook-offs, this |
|
|
much-anticipated event attracts talented chefs from all across |
|
|
Texas; these highly skilled pitmasters put their culinary abilities |
|
|
to the test as they vie to produce the tastiest entries in several |
|
|
different categories, including brisket, pork ribs, and chicken; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Guests have the opportunity to sample a variety of |
|
|
savory dishes while taking part in a fun, family-oriented |
|
|
get-together that also includes a local artisan market, vendors, |
|
|
and entertainment for all ages; proceeds from the event benefit |
|
|
Harvest Christian Academy and the Champion Sports League, which |
|
|
serves area youth; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Texans are noted for their love of barbecue, and the |
|
|
Harvest Christian Academy BBQ Cook Off is sure to offer everyone in |
|
|
attendance the chance to enjoy good food and good times while |
|
|
supporting a worthy cause; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commemorate the 2025 Harvest Christian Academy |
|
|
BBQ Cook Off and extend to the sponsors and participants sincere |
|
|
best wishes for a fun and successful event. |
