R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Former state representative Kyle J. Kacal retired on
  January 14, 2025, concluding more than a decade of exemplary
  service to the citizens of District 12; and
         WHEREAS, After taking office in the Texas House of
  Representatives in 2013, Mr. Kacal demonstrated a steadfast
  commitment to conservative values, individual liberties, and
  fiscal responsibility, and he was an effective champion for rural
  Texans; he served on numerous committees, including multiple terms
  on the Natural Resources and Environmental Regulation Committees,
  and he further distinguished himself as vice chair of the Rules and
  Resolutions Committee during the 84th and 85th Legislatures and as
  vice chair of the Corrections Committee during the 88th
  Legislature; and
         WHEREAS, A longtime resident of the Brazos Valley area,
  Mr. Kacal runs a large-scale beef cattle ranch near College
  Station, and he also operates a full-service hunting business
  during the fall and spring seasons; prior to working in the
  agricultural industry, he was employed at Jefferson Pilot; and
         WHEREAS, A man of deep faith, Mr. Kacal is a member of the St.
  Thomas Aquinas Catholic Parish; he holds a bachelor's degree in
  political science from Texas A&M University and a certificate of
  ranch management from Texas Christian University; in all his
  endeavors, he benefits from the love and support of his wife, Marci,
  and he takes great pride in their children, Carter and Kendall; and
         WHEREAS, Over the course of his career in public office, Kyle
  Kacal made a positive difference in the lives of countless Texans,
  and his contributions have earned him the lasting respect and
  appreciation of his colleagues and fellow citizens alike; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby honor former state representative Kyle J. Kacal
  for his service and extend to him sincere best wishes for the
  future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Kacal as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
