R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Mark Chavez has distinguished himself in his |
|
|
responsibilities as a policy aide in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Vincent Perez during the 89th Legislative Session; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff as a fellow in the |
|
|
Moreno/Rangel Legislative Leadership Program, Mr. Chavez has |
|
|
provided vital assistance in a wide variety of tasks, including |
|
|
conducting legislative research, communicating with constituents, |
|
|
preparing policy briefs and reports for Representative Perez, and |
|
|
monitoring committee hearings; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Chavez is completing his bachelor's degree in |
|
|
criminal justice and communications at The University of Texas at |
|
|
El Paso and aspires to pursue a master's degree at the Lyndon B. |
|
|
Johnson School of Public Affairs in the fall of 2026; he also holds |
|
|
an associate degree from El Paso Community College, which he earned |
|
|
prior to completing high school; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Chavez has carried out his duties as a |
|
|
legislative aide and policy analyst with skill and dedication and |
|
|
is indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Mark Chavez for his outstanding service |
|
|
as a legislative aide in the office of State Representative Vincent |
|
|
Perez and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in |
|
|
all his future endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Chavez as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
