A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the supervision requirements of a code enforcement |
|
|
officer in training. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 1952.103(c), Occupations Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(c) Except as otherwise provided by this subsection, a [A] |
|
|
code enforcement officer in training may engage in code enforcement |
|
|
under the supervision of a registered code enforcement officer. If |
|
|
the employer of the code enforcement officer in training does not |
|
|
also employ a registered code enforcement officer, the officer in |
|
|
training may engage in code enforcement without supervision. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
