A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to reimbursing employees of the Department of Family and |
|
|
Protective Services for loss of or damage to personal property. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 40, Human Resources Code, |
|
|
is amended by adding Section 40.084 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 40.084. REIMBURSEMENT FOR LOST OR DAMAGED PERSONAL |
|
|
PROPERTY. The department, using existing resources, may reimburse |
|
|
a present or former employee of the department for loss of or damage |
|
|
to personal property caused by a client of the department in the |
|
|
course and scope of the employee's duties. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
