A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the definition of licensing authority as it relates to |
|
|
the collection of certain licensing information about certain |
|
|
day-care employees. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 42.0562(c)(2), Human Resources Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(2) "Licensing authority" means a department, |
|
|
commission, board, office, or other agency of the state that issues |
|
|
a license, including: |
|
|
(A) the Department of State Health Services; |
|
|
(B) the Health and Human Services Commission; |
|
|
(C) the Texas Behavioral Health Executive |
|
|
Council; |
|
|
(D) the Texas Juvenile Justice Department; |
|
|
(E) the Texas Board of Nursing; |
|
|
(F) the Texas Medical Board; |
|
|
(G) the State Board for Educator Certification; |
|
|
and |
|
|
(H) the Texas Department of Licensing and |
|
|
Regulation. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
