A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the prohibition of immunization with a product |
|
|
containing mRNA material. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 161, Health and Safety |
|
|
Code, is amended by adding Section 161.0053 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 161.0053. PROHIBITED IMMUNIZATION WITH PRODUCT |
|
|
CONTAINING MRNA MATERIAL. (a) In this section, "mRNA material" |
|
|
means a substance that introduces messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) |
|
|
corresponding to a viral protein. |
|
|
(b) A person may not administer for the purpose of |
|
|
immunization a product containing mRNA material. |
|
|
(c) This section does not apply to a product containing mRNA |
|
|
material used for the treatment of cancer or a genetic disorder. |
|
|
(d) This section expires September 1, 2035. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
