AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the authority of certain counties to enact certain park |
|
|
use rules. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Sections 320.0455(a) and (b-1), Local Government |
|
|
Code, are amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(a) This section applies only to a county with a population |
|
|
of: |
|
|
(1) 2.8 million or more; |
|
|
(2) 800,000 or more that is adjacent to a county with a |
|
|
population of 2.8 million or more; [or] |
|
|
(3) more than 550,000 and less than 620,000; or |
|
|
(4) less than 75,000 that is adjacent to three |
|
|
counties with populations of more than 450,000. |
|
|
(b-1) A board created for a county described by Subsection |
|
|
(a)(2) or (a)(4) may not adopt rules relating to the use of |
|
|
fireworks. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
