A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to a publication by the Parks and Wildlife Department on |
|
|
the dangers of reflective windows for birds and the distribution of |
|
|
the publication to municipalities and the construction industry. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 12, Parks and Wildlife |
|
|
Code, is amended by adding Section 12.0065 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 12.0065. PUBLICATION ON DANGERS OF REFLECTIVE WINDOWS |
|
|
TO BIRDS; DISTRIBUTION TO MUNICIPALITIES AND CONSTRUCTION |
|
|
INDUSTRY. (a) The department shall: |
|
|
(1) produce a publication on the dangers posed to |
|
|
birds by reflective windows; and |
|
|
(2) provide copies of the publication at no cost to |
|
|
municipalities. |
|
|
(b) A municipality that receives copies of the publication |
|
|
from the department under Subsection (a)(2) shall distribute the |
|
|
copies at no cost to members of the construction industry active in |
|
|
the municipality. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
