A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to a requirement to report to the Texas Department of |
|
|
Licensing and Regulation an abandoned or deteriorated water well |
|
|
identified during an inspection of an on-site sewage disposal |
|
|
system. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 366.055, Health and Safety Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Subsection (g) to read as follows: |
|
|
(g) If the commission, an authorized agent, or a person |
|
|
designated under Section 366.014 identifies an abandoned or |
|
|
deteriorated water well during an inspection, the commission, |
|
|
authorized agent, or designated person shall report the location of |
|
|
the water well to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
