SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Human beings are born male or female, with such |
|
|
biological identity being immutable and innate; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Even in our great state, ideologues put forth a |
|
|
false narrative that denies this fundamental truth, using lawfare, |
|
|
coercion, and fear to deny women the rights and protections to which |
|
|
they are entitled; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Across the country, such falsehoods have allowed men |
|
|
to self-identify as women and enter spaces designed for the |
|
|
protection of women, such as women's shelters and women's |
|
|
bathrooms; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sex is an immutable characteristic that can be |
|
|
readily identified, and attacks on the definition of sex are |
|
|
baseless; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, By the 89th Legislature of the State of Texas, That |
|
|
it is the policy of the state to recognize two sexes, male and |
|
|
female; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the State of Texas will defend women's rights |
|
|
by using clear and accurate language and policies recognizing that |
|
|
women are biologically female and men are biologically male. |
