SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 4
         WHEREAS, J. Scott Moore is retiring from
  PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) on June 30, 2025, drawing to a close
  an exemplary career in public accounting that has spanned more
  than three and a half decades; and
         WHEREAS, A member of the PwC board, Mr. Moore is also the
  managing partner of the firm's Dallas office; in addition, he is
  a member of the American Institute of Certified Public
  Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public
  Accountants; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Moore's previous experience includes his work
  in the mergers and acquisitions practice at PwC's Boston office
  for two years, and in 2007, he took on the role of retail and
  consumer tax sector leader for the firm's U.S. operations; in
  2009, he became the North Texas tax market leader, and he held
  that position for six years before being named the North Texas
  managing partner; he went on to serve as the managing partner for
  the Greater Texas market, which includes offices in Texas,
  Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma, and he ably led a practice of
  over 4,000 public accounting professionals before assuming his
  current position; he holds bachelor's and master's degrees in
  accounting from Texas Tech University; and
         WHEREAS, Active in his community, Mr. Moore is a former
  board chair for the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas and the Dallas
  Children's Advocacy Center, and he has served on the boards of the
  PwC SMU Athletic Forum, The Catholic Foundation, and the Dallas
  Theater Center; he is also a past president of the St. Thomas
  Aquinas School Advisory Council, and he has been involved in the
  Dallas Regional Chamber and Leadership Dallas; and
         WHEREAS, The leadership, professionalism, and commitment to
  excellence demonstrated by Scott Moore have made him an invaluable
  asset to PwC, and he may reflect with pride on a career well spent
  as he embarks upon the next exciting chapter of his life; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
  Legislature, hereby congratulate J. Scott Moore on his
  retirement from PricewaterhouseCoopers and extend to him sincere
  best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Moore as an expression of high regard from the
  Texas Senate.
