SENATE RESOLUTION
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
|
recognize Dr. Daniel Kelly, who is serving as Physician of the |
|
|
Day at the State Capitol on January 22, 2025; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Each day of the legislative session, a member of |
|
|
the Texas Academy of Family Physicians volunteers valuable time |
|
|
away from their practice to assist legislators and support staff |
|
|
at the Capitol health clinic; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Dr. Kelly earned a doctor of medicine degree from |
|
|
The University of Texas at San Antonio and completed his |
|
|
residency with The University of Texas Southwestern; a |
|
|
board-certified physician, he chose to specialize in family |
|
|
medicine to make a positive impact and to serve the health needs |
|
|
of his community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Dr. Kelly currently serves as associate chief of |
|
|
family medicine at Austin Regional Clinic, and his commitment to |
|
|
excellence is evidenced by his involvement with the American |
|
|
Medical Association, the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, and |
|
|
the Travis County Medical Society; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A highly regarded medical practitioner and an |
|
|
esteemed community member, Dr. Kelly exemplifies the highest |
|
|
ideals of the medical profession, and it is indeed a pleasure to |
|
|
welcome him to the State Capitol; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th |
|
|
Legislature, hereby commend Dr. Daniel Kelly on his |
|
|
participation in the Physician of the Day program and extend to |
|
|
him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
|
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
