R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever cherish their
  memories of Frank Aulston Kelso and Alice Sue Boyle Kelso of Corpus
  Christi, who shared nearly seven decades of marriage; and
         WHEREAS, Frank Kelso was born in Bellville on September 20,
  1936, and the former Alice Boyle was born the following year in
  Dumas on November 23; they met at church and married when he was 17
  and she 16; and
         WHEREAS, The Kelsos were blessed with 4 children, Sheri,
  Frank, Keith, and Jo, and through the years, their treasured family
  grew to include 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Employed for 26 years as a game warden for the State
  of Texas, Mr. Kelso rose to become a district supervisor, and his
  career highlights included the capture and release of Bubba, the
  javelina; following his retirement in 1993, he enjoyed spending
  time out in his shop, teaching his grandchildren to hunt and fish,
  and regaling them with tales of his game warden adventures; he had a
  gift for teaching, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand to
  family and friends; Mrs. Kelso took great pleasure in caring for
  her home and family; a wonderful cook, she always made sure no one
  left their home hungry; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Kelso were inseparable in life, and
  they died but a few days apart; Mr. Kelso passed away on January 9,
  2023, at the age of 86, and Mrs. Kelso followed on January 13, 2023,
  at the age of 85; and
         WHEREAS, Although Frank and Alice Kelso are deeply missed,
  their tremendous devotion to each other will forever remain a
  source of inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know them;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature
  hereby pay tribute to the lives of Frank Aulston Kelso and Alice Sue
  Boyle Kelso and extend sincere condolences to the members of their
  family, to their friends, and to all who mourn their passing; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for their family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
  this day, it do so in memory of Frank and Alice Kelso.
