SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 56
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Brandon Bennett
 
         WHEREAS, The tragic passing of Brandon Wayne Bennett of
  Burleson on December 27, 2024, at the age of 17, has brought an
  unimaginable loss to the family and friends of this beloved young
  man; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Fort Worth on January 6, 2007, Brandon
  Bennett was raised in Burleson by his parents, James Bennett Jr.
  and Chloe Bennett; he also enjoyed the affection of his brothers,
  Brendan and Connor, and his sister, Samantha, with whom he shared
  a close bond; having professed his faith in 2023, he attended
  Southcliff Baptist Church; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Bennett was a junior at Burleson Centennial
  High School, where he made numerous friends; he was a natural
  athlete and leader, and his competitive nature shone in his
  various pursuits, which included football, baseball, and
  hunting; he excelled at nearly everything he did, but his
  greatest trait of all was his caring heart; friendly and
  easygoing, he always tried to make others feel welcome, and he
  delighted those around him with his wonderful sense of humor; and
         WHEREAS, Although his passing leaves a tremendous void,
  those fortunate enough to have known Brandon Bennett will never
  forget the joy, laughter, and love that he shared with them, and
  they will forever keep his memory alive in their hearts; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
  Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Brandon Wayne
  Bennett and extend profound condolences to the members of his
  family: to his parents, James and Chloe Bennett; to his sister,
  Samantha Bennett; to his brothers, Brendan and Connor Borden; to
  his biological mother, Deidra Putman; and to his many other
  relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
  this day, it do so in memory of Brandon Bennett.
