SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 64
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Donald Hollier
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends were deeply saddened by the
  passing of Donald Jean Hollier of Houston on December 24, 2024,
  at the age of 66; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Gerald Dominic and Sadie Mae Hollier,
  Don Hollier was born in Port Arthur on February 10, 1958, and he
  grew up with the companionship of his brother, Jerry; he
  graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1976, and in 1981,
  he earned a degree from Lamar University; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Hollier went on to enjoy a successful career
  as a private insurance auditor with RIS and its affiliates that
  spanned more than three decades and took him across the nation
  and abroad; and
         WHEREAS, Above all else, Mr. Hollier took great pride in
  his sons, Brendon and Cory, and with the passing years, he
  delighted in becoming "Poppy" to his grandson, Harrison; he
  looked forward to going on trips to Colorado each summer with his
  family; and
         WHEREAS, Although Don Hollier is greatly missed, memories
  of his generosity, his sense of humor, and his devotion to his
  family remain to comfort and inspire those he leaves behind; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
  Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Donald Jean
  Hollier and extend heartfelt condolences to the members of his
  family: to his ex-wife and lifelong friend, Cathy
  Pellerin-Hollier; to his sons, Brendon Hollier and his wife,
  Amanda, and Cory Hollier and his wife, Kathryn; to his grandson,
  Harrison Hollier; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
  this day, it do so in memory of Don Hollier.
