R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The passing of Toby Leon Taylor of Weatherford on |
|
February 3, 2024, at the age of 53, brought an immeasurable loss to |
|
his family and friends; and |
|
WHEREAS, Toby Taylor was born to Larry and Linda Taylor in |
|
Okmulgee, Oklahoma, on December 9, 1970, and he grew up with the |
|
companionship of a brother, Trey; while attending Texas A&M |
|
University, he met the love of his life, Beth, on a study abroad |
|
trip in Italy; the couple married in 1993 and shared a fulfilling |
|
union that spanned three decades; and |
|
WHEREAS, Following his graduation from college, Mr. Taylor |
|
worked for an architectural firm before joining his family's air |
|
conditioning business, where he served as general manager for more |
|
than 20 years; in 2016, he and his wife purchased a local printing |
|
company, AlphaGraphics, which they built into a successful |
|
business; and |
|
WHEREAS, A man of strong faith, Mr. Taylor was a longtime |
|
congregant of Trinity Bible Church, where he served as a deacon and |
|
was actively involved with the student ministry; he further gave of |
|
his time and talents to the Weatherford ISD School Board, the |
|
Weatherford Chamber of Commerce, the Christian Men's Fellowship of |
|
Parker County, and Boy Scout Troop No. 109; and |
|
WHEREAS, Above all else, Mr. Taylor was devoted to his |
|
family; he took great pride in his sons, Riley and Colby, and he |
|
enthusiastically supported them in their various school and |
|
extracurricular activities; in his leisure hours, he cherished time |
|
spent with his loved ones, playing games and going on camping trips |
|
and other adventures; and |
|
WHEREAS, Toby Taylor possessed a generosity of spirit that |
|
expressed itself in myriad ways, and he enriched the lives of |
|
countless people with his warmth and kindness; now, therefore, be |
|
it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature |
|
hereby pay tribute to the memory of Toby Leon Taylor and extend |
|
sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his wife, Beth |
|
Taylor; to his sons, Riley and Colby Taylor; to his parents, Larry |
|
and Linda Taylor; to his brother, Trey Taylor, and his wife, Alexa; |
|
and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this |
|
day, it do so in memory of Toby Taylor. |
