R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever treasure their
  memories of Dorothy R. Fox, who passed away on October 29, 2024, at
  the age of 99; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Eastland County on May 5, 1925, to Thomas
  Morrell and Zora Eppler Terry, the former Dorothy Terry grew up with
  the companionship of three siblings, Wanda, Billy, and Tommy; after
  graduating from Cisco High School, she enrolled at Cisco Junior
  College, and she went on to work for Western Union and Montgomery
  Ward; and
         WHEREAS, On November 21, 1942, she exchanged wedding vows
  with George Alexander Fox Jr., and she moved with her family to
  Austin in the early 1950s; Mrs. Fox and her husband shared in the
  joy of raising two daughters, Carolyn and Pam, and the family
  relocated from Austin to her hometown of Cisco in 1961 and then to
  Abilene in 1964; her family eventually grew to include 8
  grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 6
  great-great-grandchildren, and she spent her later years living
  with her daughters in Fairfield and Cisco; and
         WHEREAS, A woman of devout faith, Mrs. Fox was a member of
  several churches over the course of her life, and she and her family
  even helped to start a congregation when they were residing in
  Austin; she possessed a gift for music and the ability to play the
  piano by ear, and she found additional outlets for her creativity in
  sewing and painting; and
         WHEREAS, Dorothy Fox lived a full and generous life
  surrounded by those she loved, and they will forever carry her close
  in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature
  hereby pay tribute to the memory of Dorothy R. Fox and extend
  sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her daughters,
  Carolyn Robertson and her husband, Danny, and Pam Krabill and her
  husband, Jim; to her grandchildren, Rhonda Ponder, Dana Brown,
  Brad, Shaun, and Chris Krabill, Debbie Bartlett, D'Anne Stephenson,
  and Jay Robertson; to her great-grandchildren and
  great-great-grandchildren; to her brother, Tommy Terry; to her
  nieces and nephews; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this
  day, it do so in memory of Dorothy Fox.
