SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 148

WHEREAS, Pastor DeMarcus Pierson is being honored at an Episcopal consecration ceremony on February 22, 2025, to commemorate his ordination as bishop of the Kingdom Harvest Christian Alliance; and

WHEREAS, The lead pastor of Reveal Church Tyler, DeMarcus Pierson has enjoyed an exemplary 25-year career in the ministry, including two decades of pastoral service; and

WHEREAS, In addition to providing spiritual guidance to the members of his church, Pastor Pierson has served as the founder and CEO of Love Thy City of East Texas; this charitable nonprofit group is the organizer of Love Thy City Day, an event that brings thousands of community members together in a celebration of faith and unity; in all his endeavors, he benefits from the love and support of his wife, Chia Pierson, and he is the proud father of three sons; and

WHEREAS, Pastor DeMarcus Pierson has distinguished himself as an influential community leader and a source of wisdom and inspiration to countless people, and he may reflect with pride on many achievements as he celebrates this important milestone in his ministerial career; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th Legislature, hereby congratulate Pastor DeMarcus Pierson on being ordained as bishop of the Kingdom Harvest Christian Alliance and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be prepared for Bishop Pierson as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
