R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Pastor DeMarcus Pierson is being honored at an |
|
|
Episcopal consecration ceremony on February 22, 2025, to |
|
|
commemorate his ordination as bishop of the Kingdom Harvest |
|
|
Christian Alliance; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The lead pastor of Reveal Church Tyler, DeMarcus |
|
|
Pierson has enjoyed an exemplary 25-year career in the ministry, |
|
|
including two decades of pastoral service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In addition to providing spiritual guidance to the |
|
|
members of his church, Pastor Pierson has served as the founder and |
|
|
CEO of Love Thy City of East Texas; this charitable nonprofit group |
|
|
is the organizer of Love Thy City Day, an event that brings |
|
|
thousands of community members together in a celebration of faith |
|
|
and unity; in all his endeavors, he benefits from the love and |
|
|
support of his wife, Chia Pierson, and he is the proud father of |
|
|
three sons; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Pastor DeMarcus Pierson has distinguished himself |
|
|
as an influential community leader and a source of wisdom and |
|
|
inspiration to countless people, and he may reflect with pride on |
|
|
many achievements as he celebrates this important milestone in his |
|
|
ministerial career; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature |
|
|
hereby congratulate Pastor DeMarcus Pierson on being ordained as |
|
|
bishop of the Kingdom Harvest Christian Alliance and extend to him |
|
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Bishop Pierson as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas Senate. |
