In Memory |

Sarah Koller |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends suffered an immeasurable loss |
|
|
with the tragic passing of Sarah Bottecelli Koller on August 25, |
|
|
2024, at the age of 40; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Charles A. Koller and Paula |
|
|
Bottecelli, Sarah Koller was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on |
|
|
July 16, 1984, and she grew up with the companionship of four |
|
|
younger siblings, Paul, David, Rachel, and Leah; she cherished |
|
|
the relationship she shared with her partner, Steven Konarik; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Passionate about bringing people together, Ms. |
|
|
Koller opened a coffee shop in Columbus, Texas; she further |
|
|
distinguished herself as a dedicated champion for breast cancer |
|
|
patients, and she contributed to advocacy efforts at the State |
|
|
Capitol; she also participated in cross-country biking events to |
|
|
raise awareness and funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society; an |
|
|
avid supporter of animal welfare organizations, she frequently |
|
|
fostered dogs; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Above all else, Ms. Koller treasured time spent |
|
|
with her loved ones, and she was a source of support and |
|
|
inspiration to all who knew her; her many hobbies included |
|
|
swimming, running marathons, and cheering on her favorite |
|
|
baseball teams, and she enjoyed attending rodeos and looking at |
|
|
Christmas lights during the holiday season; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Although Sarah Koller is greatly missed, her |
|
|
family and friends will forever cherish their memories of her |
|
|
warm and caring nature, her generosity, and her enthusiasm for |
|
|
life; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th |
|
|
Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Sarah Bottecelli |
|
|
Koller and extend heartfelt sympathy to all who mourn her |
|
|
passing; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns |
|
|
this day, it do so in memory of Sarah Koller. |
