SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 214
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Sasha Rasco, who is retiring from her role with the
  Texas Health and Human Services Commission after nearly 28 years
  of dedicated service to the State of Texas; and
         WHEREAS, Sasha Rasco serves as associate commissioner for
  Family Support Services at the Texas Health and Human Services
  Commission; since 2013, she has led the growth of this division,
  which previously was known as Prevention and Early Intervention
  in the Department of Family and Protective Services until
  September of 2024; and
         WHEREAS, A proud alumni of The University of Texas at
  Austin, Sasha earned a degree from the Humanities Honors Program
  and began her career in early childhood education before
  completing a master's degree at the university's Lyndon B.
  Johnson School of Public Affairs; early in her career with the
  state, she devoted 14 years to helping manage child care
  licensing for more than 36,000 homes, facilities, and agencies
  with the Department of Family and Protective Services; and
         WHEREAS, In her positions of leadership with Prevention
  and Early Intervention and Family Support Services, Sasha's
  expertise and dedication have made her an invaluable asset and
  have greatly benefited efforts to oversee grants, conduct data
  collection, and administer training and technical assistance to
  hundreds of organizations in the state that provide family and
  community support services; and
         WHEREAS, Her unwavering commitment to promoting the safety
  and development of young Texans has made a positive and lasting
  impact, and her presence and contributions will be greatly missed
  by all at the commission; she is highly respected and admired by
  her friends and colleagues, and it is indeed fitting that they
  join in celebrating her retirement; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
  Legislature, hereby commend Sasha Rasco on her exemplary career
  and service to the Lone Star State and extend to her
  congratulations on her retirement and best wishes in all her
  future endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
