built to facilitate commercial development and transportation |

WHEREAS, Beyond its practical function, the bridge |
represents the lasting bonds between the people of Texas and |
Mexico and stands as a testament to the spirit of cooperation |

foster economic and social ties and serves to strengthen the |
cross-border connections that are so vital to both |
communities; and |
WHEREAS, This year's celebration of the Roma-Ciudad Miguel |
Alemán International Suspension Bridge offers a special |
opportunity to reflect on its significant legacy and to recognize |

the United States and Mexico; now, therefore, be it |
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th |
