SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 235
         WHEREAS, The Woman's Forum of Wichita Falls is marking its
  100th anniversary in 2025, providing a welcome opportunity to pay
  tribute to its rich legacy of service and community engagement; and
         WHEREAS, This venerable organization was established in
  1925 by 30 charter members who wanted to be of greater service to
  the community and who sought to create a space where women could
  exchange ideas and cultivate meaningful change; and
         WHEREAS, Over the years, the group has sponsored various
  departments and clubs, and the current lineup includes the Senior
  Junior Forum, which is focused on local service initiatives, as well
  as the Book Club, Garden Club, Culture Club, Gourmet Club, Bridge
  Club, and two clubs for high school students; moreover, the
  organization has hosted such distinguished guests as Amelia
  Earhart, Will Rogers, and President Lyndon B. Johnson; and
         WHEREAS, Today, the forum includes more than 300 women
  encompassing a broad range of ages, and it has expanded its
  mission in recent years to place a stronger emphasis on academic
  pursuits and the study of fine arts; and
         WHEREAS, True to its mission, the Woman's Forum of Wichita
  Falls has made a lasting and positive difference in the lives of
  countless individuals over the past century, and its members may
  indeed take great pride in their organization's accomplishments on
  this special milestone; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
  Legislature, hereby commemorate the 100th anniversary of the
  Woman's Forum of Wichita Falls and extend to all those affiliated
  with the organization sincere best wishes for continued success;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for the group as an expression of high regard from the
  Texas Senate.
