R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Kenda Ruth King of |
|
Bullard were deeply saddened by her passing on January 25, 2025, at |
|
the age of 60; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born in Jacksonville on October 24, 1964, Kenda King |
|
was the daughter of Linda and Kenneth King, and she grew up with the |
|
companionship of her sister, Kelly; after graduating from Bullard |
|
High School, she attended Tyler Junior College and The University |
|
of Texas at Tyler; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. King worked as a licensed vocational nurse for a |
|
time before finding her true calling as a cattle truck driver; a |
|
lifelong cowgirl, she delighted in working with cattle and |
|
traveling the open road; and |
|
WHEREAS, Beloved for her warm and generous nature, vibrant |
|
spirit, and joyous zest for life, Kenda King brightened the world |
|
for all who knew her, and they will forever hold her close in their |
|
hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature |
|
hereby pay tribute to the memory of Kenda Ruth King and extend |
|
heartfelt sympathy to the members of her family: to her parents, |
|
Linda and Kenneth King; to her sister, Kelly King, and her husband, |
|
David Faust; to her nephews, Curtis Dean and Alex Dean and his wife, |
|
Nikki; to her great-niece, Audrey Claire; and to her other |
|
relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this |
|
day, it do so in memory of Kenda King. |
