SENATE RESOLUTION
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
|
recognize the Texas Alliance of Boys and Girls Clubs on the |
|
|
occasion of their Texas State Summit and Youth of the Year event, |
|
|
which is taking place March 16 through 18, 2025; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Texas Alliance of Boys and Girls Clubs |
|
|
represents 415 club locations across the state that provide safe |
|
|
and enriching environments for thousands of young people; the |
|
|
organization's mission is to enable its participants to reach |
|
|
their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible |
|
|
citizens; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Texas State Summit brings together young |
|
|
leaders, mentors, and advocates from across Texas to celebrate |
|
|
the achievements of outstanding club members, to engage in |
|
|
leadership development opportunities, and to highlight the vital |
|
|
role that Boys and Girls Clubs play in empowering young people; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Youth of the Year program recognizes club |
|
|
members who have demonstrated exceptional character, academic |
|
|
success, and leadership within their communities; this |
|
|
noteworthy honor provides a platform for young people to share |
|
|
their stories with others and to inspire their peers to pursue |
|
|
their goals with confidence and determination; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Texas Alliance of Boys and Girls Clubs |
|
|
continues to make a profound impact in the Lone Star State by |
|
|
promoting academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good |
|
|
citizenship among Texas youth; its unwavering commitment to the |
|
|
success and well-being of our young citizens helps to ensure a |
|
|
brighter future for all Texans, and it is indeed fitting that |
|
|
this exemplary organization receive special recognition; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th |
|
|
Legislature, hereby recognize the Texas Alliance of Boys and |
|
|
Girls Clubs on the occasion of its Texas State Summit and Youth of |
|
|
the Year Event and extend to all in attendance best wishes for a |
|
|
memorable and rewarding occasion; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
|
the organization as an expression of esteem from the Texas |
|
|
Senate. |
