SENATE RESOLUTION
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
|
recognize the New Braunfels Noon Lions Club on the occasion of |
|
|
its 100th anniversary and to join the club in commemorating a |
|
|
century of dedicated service to the community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Chartered on April 10, 1925, the New Braunfels |
|
|
Noon Lions Club has upheld the core mission of Lions Clubs |
|
|
International by promoting humanitarian efforts, assisting those |
|
|
in need, and fostering civic engagement; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Over the past century, the club has contributed |
|
|
significantly to the well-being of New Braunfels through its |
|
|
support of local charities, youth programs, and vision care |
|
|
initiatives including eye screenings, eyeglass donations, and |
|
|
aid for individuals with visual impairments; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The club has been instrumental in organizing |
|
|
numerous community events and fund-raisers, such as the annual |
|
|
Wurstfest parking fund-raiser, which provides financial support |
|
|
for scholarships and local nonprofit organizations; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The 100th anniversary of this esteemed |
|
|
organization offers a fitting opportunity to celebrate its |
|
|
enduring legacy and commitment to service and to recognize the |
|
|
dedicated efforts of its members, past and present, who have |
|
|
contributed to its success; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th |
|
|
Legislature, hereby commend the members of the New Braunfels Noon |
|
|
Lions Club on a century of outstanding service and extend to all |
|
|
best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in |
|
|
honor of this special occasion. |
