R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The State of Texas is steadfast in its commitment to
  private property rights, and since 1920, Texas REALTORS has worked
  as a professional association to protect private property ownership
  and the rights of property owners; and
         WHEREAS, Texas REALTORS maintains its position as the largest
  professional membership association in Texas, and its more than
  140,000 members are engaged in every aspect of the state's diverse
  real estate interests, including farm and ranch, property
  management, and international, residential, and commercial real
  estate; and
         WHEREAS, Real estate and housing are essential to our state
  and local economies, with each property purchase contributing
  thousands of dollars through construction, jobs, and expenses; in
  2024, the real estate industry in Texas accounted for 17.8 percent
  of the state's gross domestic product, or approximately $469.2
  billion; and
         WHEREAS, Realtors are grassroots advocates who embody
  professionalism in the real estate industry; they adhere to a
  strict code of ethics that demands competence, fairness, and a high
  level of integrity in their field; and
         WHEREAS, As vital contributors to their local towns and
  cities, Realtors in Texas are deeply invested, actively engaged,
  and dedicated to shaping vibrant, flourishing communities where
  Texans live, work, and prosper; to that end, Realtors continue to
  demonstrate their incredible abilities to help all Texans achieve
  the dream of homeownership; and
         WHEREAS, During each Texas legislative session, thousands of
  Realtors convene at the State Capitol to meet with their elected
  officials and discuss issues that are critical for ensuring that
  Texas remains the best state in which to own or lease real property;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature
  hereby recognize March 26, 2025, as REALTOR Day at the State Capitol
  and extend a warm welcome to the visiting delegation; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the association as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas Senate.
